Allow me to introduce my line of Heirloom
Baby Rattles; a lifetime keepsake for
everyone. With the birth of my youngest grandson I wanted to
create a unique rattle, something very different from what can
typically be found on the internet. I decided to make a traditional
ball shaped rattle with a Victorian touch. Here is my creation.
Rattles are approximately 8 inches long with the ball ends roughly
1 ¾ inches in diameter. Ball ends are laminations of maple and
either walnut or mahogany. Wood in the handle will vary
depending on what I have available, walnut, cherry, maple,
mahogany, or birch. Noise makers in the balls are split peas
and/or dried peas. Each rattle is finished in mineral oil and
beeswax. Each rattle is unique, no two are alike.

is $20 each, with a basic shipping
charge of $7. I will personalize the
rattle by burning in the baby’s name
and birth date for an additional
